The 50th edition of the Fotogramma d'Oro Short Film Festival in Italy has added three more Iranian short films to the screening lineup.
'The Last Embrace', 'Genesis', and 'Due Day' are the new Iranian representatives at the Italian film event.
'The Last Embrace' by Saman Hosseinpuor is a 4-minute film about a girl who wants to show her drawing to her family, but everybody is busy with their cell phones. Because of loneliness, the little girl goes to her grandpa who has just passed away a few minutes ago without anybody noticing it.
'Genesis' by Abtin Mozafari is a 10-minute fantasy short film with a critical point of view about the horrible situation in Syria.
'Due Day' by Midia Kiasat is an 8-minute film about the angel of death that goes to one of the victims, but ...
The three films are added to 'Blows with the Wind' directed by Hazhir As’adi and 'Limit' directed by Javad Daraei.
Department of Culture and Entertainment of the Municipality of Messina, the Italian Association for the History of Cinema Research (AIRSC) and Association of former students of the University of Messina (AluMnime) cooperate to organize the Fotogramma d'Oro.
The 50th edition of the Fotogramma d'Oro (meaning Golden Frame) is slated for May 23-26, 2018, in Messina, Italy.
